Randy Hunter
Randy Hunter, born and raised in Florence, attended Wilson High School and received a bachelor's degree from Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he double majored in business and management and public administration.
Active in local affairs, Randy serves on the Board of the Florence Downtown Redevelopment Corporation.
He supports Tim Norwood for Senate.
"I've known Tim Norwood for almost three years. I know him to be a man of integrity who is very professional, caring and willing to help people. Tim is approachable, which makes him the person many go to with their problems. If he says he can help you, he will do all he can to come through for you.
Tim would be an excellent Senator for District 30. Comparing Tim with our current Senator, it's clear to me that Tim could make changes. Tim doesn't base issues on color, about who's black and who's white; instead, he focuses on getting the job done. Based on what I know about our current Senator, I feel confident that Tim is the person for the job.
As far as bringing jobs into our community, Tim is a man who has a lot of contacts with corporate people, as well as state, local and federal government representatives. He has knowledge about creating jobs and making things happen because that's what he does for his company. I'd say it's very possible that with Tim in office, he will successfully create jobs for our community and help boost our local economy, just as he has done at work.
Our Senator now is not coming through; she is not stimulating our economy with new industry. I think it's time for someone with knowledge and experience in job growth to represent our district. I really believe that Tim Norwood is a perfect fit for us now."
