District 30 Senatorial Candidate Tim Norwood to Open Marion County Office
District 30 Senate candidate Tim Norwood, set to challenge Maggie Glover in the June 8th Democratic primary, will officially open his Marion County headquarters on Thursday, February 12, 2004, at 4:30 p.m.
The Marion County headquarters of Norwood for Senate will be located at 103 B East Dozier Street in Marion, behind Grice's Men's Wear on North Main Street.
Florence businessman Norwood will challenge 12-year incumbent Maggie Glover for the District 30 Senate Seat in the June Democratic primary. His platform includes initiatives on employment, education and health care.
"I am excited to open an office in Marion in which the citizens of Marion County will have access to a Senatorial candidate," Norwood said.
"If the people of Senate District 30 elect me to be their Senator, I will make my Marion headquarters a permanent office during my tenure as State Senator. It is needed. It's appropriate, and that is my firm commitment," Norwood said.
Refreshments will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, at the Marion County headquarters. The public and media are encouraged to stop by.
